Epilogue

First, the organizers would like to thank everyone so much for coming! It means a lot that you guys are willing to participate despite it being our first time hosting. We had 200+ participants in over 100 teams take part in the contest! We hope you enjoyed the problems and gained something along the way!

(Also, sorry for the minor issues during the contest, please understand that this was our first time holding a contest, and we will do our best to do better next time >.<) Speaking of which, we kindly ask you to fill out our survey to help us improve CLICK ME. Thank you!

Now, for the juicy part everybody is waiting for, the winners! (Please imagine drum roll effects)

And the Winners for Standard round are!

1. tmikeywanko168 (Michael Cao - Ladue Horton Watkins High School, William Lin - Taipei American School, Dorijan Lendvaj - XV. Gimnazija)

2. Coastal Demolishers Halved (Richard Qi - Princeton High School, Siyong Huang - Homestead High School, David Chen - Princeton High School)

3. blair blezers (Gabriel Wu - Montgomery Blair HS, Timothy Qian - Montgomery Blair HS, Colin Galen - Montgomery Blair HS)

For first place, each member will receive a TI-Nspire CX Student Software, as well as a 30$ gift card/cash!
For second place, each member will receive a Raspberry PI 4 Computer, as well as a 20$ gift card/cash!
For third place, each member will receive a 10$ gift card. Furthermore, the team as a whole will also get 2 Raspberry PI 4 Computers.

We would also like to congratulate the college team Texas from Carnegie Mellon University (Zack Lee, Dilhan Salgado, Adam Bertelli), whose superb performance placed them at second place, but is unfortunately not eligible for prizes.

Now, for the Guts round. And the winners are!

Guts round winners:

1. Coastal Demolishers Halved (Richard Qi - Princeton High School, Siyong Huang - Homestead High School, David Chen - Princeton High School)

1. googleglass (Larry Qiu - Newton South High School, Mark Barbone - Newton South High School)

As you can see, we have a tie. Although the tie can technically be broken, the gap was so infinitesimal that it ultimately boils down to the grader’s arbitrariness.

The original plan was to give each member a 25$ AOPS coupon and a 20$ gift card/cash. However, since we do not know how to give 1.5 AOPS coupons to a team, we decided that each member on these two teams will receive a 10$ gift card. In addition, we will contact these two teams, where an epic showdown of rock paper scissors will take place to determine who will get those three 25$ AOPS coupons.

Finally, we would like to thank all of our female/non-binary participants for coming. We believe that with more and more support for the female/non-binary in STEM, we can one day fully eliminate gender inequality. To further this cause, we would like present the female/non-binary award to:

2/3 Texan (Jessica Shoemaker - McNeil High School, Ramya Iyer - Cypress Woods High School, Saathvik Selvan - American Heritage School Plantation)

Who will be receiving 2 TI-Nspire CX Student Software as well as a 10$ gift card/cash for each member.

Also, here are some of the organizers' favorite team names xD
Hannah's favorite: At Least We Tried
Alex's favorite: Catcher in the API (I love that book so much >.<)
Egor's favorite: greatest team name (can't argue with that)
Arthur's favorite: Floofers
